Timber Pointe Outdoor Center Camps offers activities such as zip lining, fishing, boating, arts and crafts, target sports, music, horseback riding, and hiking on its trails. Campers also have access to an equestrian arena, sports field, rock wall, giant swing, basketball court, heated outdoor pool, arts and crafts center, archery, canoe rides, pontoon boat outings, bonfire pits, and s’more roasting. Programming is modified to include and empower kids and adults of all abilities, and adaptive equipment and strategies are used to support all ability levels so campers have the opportunity and possibility to participate in every activity offered during a camp session.

Timber Pointe Outdoor Center Camps offers inclusive Adventure Day Camp experiences for children ages 5–17 with or without disabilities. The program offers Overnight Camp experiences for youth with disabilities ages 7–17 and adults with disabilities ages 18 and older, as well as inclusive overnight camp sessions for youth ages 7–17 with or without disabilities. A packing list, information about camp activities, and pick up/drop off information are available in Handbooks found on each program's tab.
Timber Pointe Outdoor Center is owned and operated by Easterseals Central Illinois and is described as the premier resource in the state of Illinois for providing specialized outdoor recreational, experiential and family programs for individuals with disabilities and illnesses in a fun, safe and accessible environment. Programming includes specialized outdoor recreational, experiential, and family programs for individuals with disabilities and illnesses, and activities and team building exercises for groups. Staff undergo extensive on-site training prior to the start of camp.
The Timber Pointe Charitable Foundation was established as an independent organization in 1996. The Easterseals Timber Pointe property was originally owned by the Boy Scouts Camp Heffernan, Easterseals began providing camping experiences for children with disabilities in the early 1950’s, and Easterseals purchased the land from the Boy Scouts in 1989. Timber Pointe Outdoor Center is a unique resource for the Central Illinois community and partners with organizations that serve its mission of providing a camp experience for kids and adults that have life-altering illnesses or disabilities. The facility also offers warm fireplaces and bonfire pits for year-round s’more roasting, overnight rentals in cabins and lodges, day use for corporate meetings and events, activities and team building exercises for groups, and a picture perfect wedding venue.
