The Esprit de Corps Academy

The Esprit de Corps Academy offers musical interactions and education, theatrical interactions and education, and dance interactions and education. The program includes instruction in these performing arts areas for area youth and provides each participant the opportunity to perform to their individual ability and comfort in a supportive environment. It also offers leadership development for youth through opportunities that encourage teamwork and engage with the community at large.

The Esprit de Corps Academy exists to enhance and transform lives through exposure to and instruction in the performing arts. It is an El Sistema inspired performing arts academy headquartered in Jacksonville and serving all of West Central Illinois, and it is a proud member of El Sistema USA and Sistema Global. The academy states that it will create a vibrant performing arts academy that provides a safe space for all to explore the world of artistic expression and that it supports every child in their overall academic growth. It values the uniqueness of every individual, embraces diverse backgrounds, viewpoints, and values, and states that all who live, learn, and work within the organization will have the opportunity to express and experience new ideas and perspectives in a safe and open environment. Through this stated culture of inclusiveness, the academy notes that its instruction and services are open to all.
