Youth Riding Camps at Winding Creek Equestrian Center are part of a program owned by John and Amy Klink and their three children, John Patrick, Ayla, and Autumn, with barn management led by Casey Jordan. Barn Manager Casey Jordan has been involved in the horse industry for 17 years, began riding English equitation and dressage at age 5, transitioned into hunter/jumpers, started her first horse under saddle at ten years old, and later focused on barrel racing and reining. She has been giving riding lessons for nearly ten years in barrel racing, equitation, horsemanship, and low fences, and attended Midway University on athletic scholarship to ride on their western showmanship IHSA team. Winding Creek Equestrian Center describes itself as Dekalb Counties premier equine education hub and states that it is a Veteran owned and operated facility. The center notes that it has a Conservation Design and Award-Winning Drainage System, eco-friendly composting of manure and waste for use as fertilizer on hay fields in early winter, and recycling of water bottles, soda cans, and plastics. The facility also offers hay for sale in 800 lb round bales and 40–50 lb small squares, with a mixture of cool-season grasses such as Kentucky Bluegrass, Rye, Timothy, and Orchard, along with legumes including Red Clover and Alfalfa.
