CORE Martial Arts and Fitness has been in business since 2012. All instructors are certified professionals with years of teaching experience. The organization is led by School Owner/Head Instructor Justin Lindal and After-School/Summer Camp Director Therese Lindal. Youth programs focus on the development of attention skills, self-discipline, respect, obedience, co-ordination, and stranger awareness, and youth martial art programs focus on self-defense, integrity, self-control, and respect for others. CORE Kids Club is offered for children in grades K–6 as an alternative to standard after school care and is described as affordable, fun, and fitness oriented. The Kid’s Summer Camp combines martial arts instruction, academic learning, character building, games, field trips, team activities, and fitness. Birthday parties at CORE Martial Arts and Fitness include martial arts, games, and fun. Class sizes are limited so each student receives individual attention, and members have access to a variety of martial arts and fitness options. The CORE Martial Arts and Fitness system is based on building and sustaining a strong physical and mental foundation through disciplining the body in order to discipline the mind, and its programs are described as providing a safe and supportive learning environment for people of all ages. The organization states that it meets the desire of those who wish to build on or improve weight management, physical fitness, self-defense, and self-esteem, and it describes its promise as delivering “a better you” through a passionate work ethic, integrity of beliefs, and a commitment to member goals.
