Marriott Theatre for Young Audiences presents classic American musical theatre along with original and re-imagined musicals. The program offers premiere productions of musicals for the regional market, including numerous original works and classic fairy tales created specifically for young audiences. These shows are presented as special one-hour productions for young audiences.

Marriott Theatre was founded in 1975 and has presented more than 180 productions to an estimated 11 million people. Marriott Theatre sells more than 400,000 tickets a year and has received a record 599 Joseph Jefferson Award nominations for artistic achievement. Broadway has considered the theatre a prime venue for launching Broadway shows into the regional market, including a 1989 production of MATADOR that subsequently played London’s West End and the world premiere of ANNIE WARBUCKS, which opened off-Broadway in New York after a national tour. Marriott Theatre is a founding member of the National Alliance for Musical Theatre and assists artists in creating new works for its stage. Marriott’s Theatre for Young Audiences has presented more than 75 productions, including numerous original works and classic fairy tales, and through its special one-hour productions, over 2 million children have experienced live theatre.
