Lombard Golf Course Youth Programs include Junior Golf Clinics and the Sticks for Kids program. Participants practice putting, chipping and pitching, full swings, driving, and on-course awareness and etiquette. The programs also include learning the rules of the game, practicing putting, and working to improve players' swings.
• Ages: 6–17 years old
• Schedule: Lessons are offered in four week sessions.
Instructor Trev Williams leads instruction and has 34 years of teaching experience. Clinics are separated between beginner and advanced, and after the first week of Junior Golf Clinics, each student’s skill level is assessed with a recommendation for what best suits the student for continued improvement. Sticks for Kids introduces kids ages 6–15 to physical activity through the game of golf, and in this program the game of golf instills values such as etiquette, patience, critical thinking, and persistence. Players should provide their own clubs.
Golf Done Right’s purpose is to make a difficult sport enjoyable for all skill levels, and it operates as an independent contractor within these programs. Golf Done Right incorporates a ball tracking device called Flight Scope that provides metrics to help improve swings, and a video analysis is conducted during Golf Done Right sessions and sent to golfers afterward. Lombard Golf Course hosts a variety of leagues, lessons, and programs for men, women, and children of all play levels and offers players of all ages and ability levels a uniquely challenging golf experience.
