B.E.S.T. Leadership Summer Camp includes Social Emotional Learning (SEL), sports and recreational activities, theatre, conflict resolution, and outdoor adventures. The program also includes a week-long STEM camp at DePaul University, as well as community service projects where participants volunteer at local food pantries.
• Ages: 11–13 years old
• Schedule: June 30–July 31, 2025, Monday–Thursday, 9AM–1PM
The B.E.S.T. (Building | Empowering | Serving | Together) Leadership Summer Camp is tailored specifically for students eager to embark on a transformative journey of growth, learning, and fun. The summer camp is hosted by Living Grace Church and The Woods Community Development Corporation, with a partnership with DePaul University for the week-long STEM camp and collaboration with school districts, police departments, and local colleges. Students take part in community service projects and volunteer at local food pantries as part of the camp’s activities.
The camp is led by experienced camp directors and certified instructors, and it also involves police departments and college STEM programs. The program can be duplicated by other churches or organizations, with access to camp manuals, marketing materials, and administrative tools. Consultation, program design, staff training, resources, and support are offered to organizations that implement the program.
