Mustang Youth Football and Cheer offers tackle football, flag football, and cheer/cheerleading, along with pre-season scrimmages and regular season games. The program also includes a Homecoming Game, Mini Camps, and Training Camps for participants in football and cheer.
• Ages: 5–14 years old
• Schedule: Doors open from mid-July through mid-November, with the first regular season game kicking off in late August.
• Price: DICK’S Sporting Goods is offering a 20% discount throughout the store July 19–21, 2024 (Friday–Sunday) at all Chicagoland stores with a specific coupon linked for the organization.
The organization offers Spring Flag and Fall Tackle Football, as well as Spring and Fall Cheer. It provides pads, helmets, practice jerseys, and game-day attire for football participants, which becomes a keepsake at the end of the season, and cheer participants receive uniforms and warm-up suits, with the warm-up suits kept by participants. Free Training Camps are available for both tackle football and cheer, and practice sessions are scheduled to accommodate school schedules. The program is a travel league and a non profit organization, with no prior experience necessary and no tryouts, and every child from Berwyn, Cicero, Stickney, Lyons, North Riverside, and surrounding areas is welcome. Mustang Youth Football and Cheer offers flexible payment plans, registration online or at Mini Camps, and a complimentary end-of-year banquet for all athletes.
The coaching staff is certified in the latest safety and performance techniques. Mustang Youth Football and Cheer is a proud member of the Chicagoland Youth Football League (TCYFL), which includes a network across over 40 townships, and it partners with DICK’S Sporting Goods. The program holds the title of 2024 Middleweight Champions. Volunteer opportunities and open board meetings are available for those interested in joining the board as a Trustee, including an open board meeting for anyone interested in helping run everyday operations such as setting up games, concessions, fundraisers, special events, and community events.
