Members of the YMCA Community Child Care Center staff are required to have a college education and/or early childhood experience and must attend 15 hours of in-service training per year, and staff are certified in CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens/HIV training. The YMCA Community Child Care Center is licensed by the Department of Children and Family Services. The Summer Day Camp goal is to provide children with a safe and fun environment that will allow them to explore a variety of different activities, and there will be a variety of field trips throughout the course of the summer, with these trips having a fee. If a child does not attend the field trip, Day Camp is not available that day, and an Auto-Debit registration option guarantees a spot for a child at Day Camp. If a family is planning on receiving assistance through CCR&R, it takes up to 8 weeks to get approval, and the parent or guardian is responsible for making payments until approval is granted.
