Silver Spur Ranch Riding Lessons

Silver Spur Ranch Riding Lessons offers riding lessons that include hunter/jumper riding, pleasure riding, and trail riding. Riders can take part in a vigorous exercise session, ride on a 1/2 mile grass track, and go on leisurely rides along wooded trails and across creeks. The program takes place at a facility that also provides horse boarding and hosts private events and parties.

• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Trainers are available 7 days a week to suit family schedules.

Since opening day in 2007, the philosophy at Silver Spur Ranch has been “keeping it fun, keeping it safe” for boarders and their horses. Silver Spur has two trainers on the property who are described as excellent with any age group and who specialize in hunter/jumpers and pleasure riding. The ranch also hosts private events, parties, anniversary events, and office functions for groups from 5 to more than 100, and can either cater and decorate for events or allow clients to handle those details themselves. The facility grows all of its own alfalfa hay grass mix and is in the process of going fully organic, with manure spread daily. A farm manager and several workers live on-site and the barn is watched 24/7. An on-site washer for blankets and other machine washable tack is available to use for a fee.
