The camp’s stated goal is to create kind and confident youth by providing children with new and progressive opportunities and activities that are physically and mentally challenging, encouraging them to develop skills to build positive relationships with others, and helping them build positive relationships with adult role models. The mission also includes providing opportunities to accept responsibility, develop leadership skills, cultivate a positive self-image, serve others, and helping youth appreciate and respect the earth and understand their responsibility for the stewardship of the global community. The program is led by a team that includes Chief Executive Officer Blake Fairchild and several directors in areas such as finance and human resources, wellness and youth development, facilities and sports, membership and marketing, youth development, wellness, and membership at different centers. The camp notes that its staff are described as compassionate and highly-trained, that financial assistance is available, and that it seeks community partners in and around the communities who would like to help make the Summer Camps “AMAZING.”
