Medinah Day Camp offers a structured day of activities that includes golf, tennis, daily recreational swimming in the club’s pool, arts and crafts, group games, Fun with Foods, and STEM Challenges. Campers take part in Hello Camp each morning for organized activities, a schedule review, and a camp song, and end the day with Goodbye Camp, which includes wrap-up activities, reflections, SMILE Bands, and snacks. Weekly traditions feature Wacky Wednesdays, Thankful Thursdays, and Friday Fundays with specific themes such as Wild Wild West, Camp Road Trip, KE Camps’ Annual Camp Carnival, Party in the USA!, Camp Olympics, Beach Day, Celebrating the Decades, Crazy Hair/Hat Day, Backwards Day, All About Me Day, Tie Dye Day, World Record Day, Fun Sunglasses Day, and Sporty Spirit Day.
• Ages: 4–7 years old
• Schedule: Weekly sessions run Tuesday through Friday, with camp days from 9:00am to 3:30pm and a drop-off window from 8:30am to 9:00am.
• Price: Members Advanced Rate $450 per week; Standard Rate $480 per week; one-time $45 non-refundable registration fee including 2 camp shirts; full payment due upon registration; credit card transactions have a 2.75% surcharge.
Medinah Day Camp runs in weekly sessions from Week 1 through Week 7 on the following dates: Week 1 (Tuesday–Friday 6/9–6/12), Week 2 (Tuesday–Friday 6/16–6/19), Week 3 (Tuesday–Friday 6/23–6/26), Week 4 (Tuesday–Friday 6/30–7/3), Week 5 (Tuesday–Friday 7/7–7/10), Week 6 (Tuesday–Friday 7/14–7/17), and Week 7 (Tuesday–Friday 7/21–7/24). All campers must be at least 4 years old by their first day of camp, potty-trained, and able to handle a full-day program, and enrollment is limited to children or grandchildren of Medinah Country Club members. KE Camps requires campers to wear the official camp shirt each day and recommends comfortable clothing and tennis shoes, with electronic devices and cell phones left at home.
Families are asked to pack labeled bags or backpacks with items such as extra snacks (optional), a flotation vest for campers classified as a Bogey (non-swimmer) or for use in the shallow end, golf clubs (encouraged), sunscreen (spray for body preferred), swimsuit, tennis racquet (required), towel, and water bottle. The club provides lunch each day and an afternoon snack, and families may send a packed lunch in a cooler or backpack. The camp is described as “nut aware,” and no food containing nuts should be packed; lunches and snacks served by the club do not contain nuts.
Thankful Thursday themes and projects include Community Appreciation Day, Thankful for Family, Project Morry Relay-A-Thon, Cards for A Million Thanks, a Kindness Chain for SCOPE, Lunch Bags for Meals on Wheels, and Club Appreciation Day. SMILE Bands are used during Goodbye Camp to acknowledge positive attributes. Medinah Day Camp is operated as part of KE Camps, which reports having over 230 camps in more than 35 states and more than 12,000 campers, and describes its camps as small, traditional day camps that are fun, structured, and safe.
