The MVP Sports Complex began as an idea over 6 years ago and was recently expanded upon in late 2019, adding all new all-turfed indoor batting cages, a larger indoor infield, and pitching tunnels. The facility plays host to multiple baseball and softball teams and full travel baseball and softball programs, as well as hitting, pitching, fielding, speed and agility, and introductory clinics and camps. A full complement of baseball and softball instructors is available for both group and individual private lessons.
MVP Sports Complex Camps, Clinics & Lessons was founded by Lou Simios and Matthew Zilis. Lou brought years of college baseball, youth sports, instruction, and lessons experience to youth players, and Matt leaned on his own experience playing high school and college baseball. Lou met pitcher Christian Howell through the travel team Dupage Training Academy, and MVP instructors have worked with the Illinois Storm team several times over the last couple of seasons.
In one testimonial, Christian Howell of Minnesota State describes working with Lou as leading to noticeable improvements after a few pitching sessions. Another testimonial from coach and parent John Natanek states that MVP instructors worked with the Illinois Storm team over several weeks, breaking skills down step by step and position by position. A third testimonial from Pat Cashman of Southeastern Louisiana describes Lou’s work with him at Benedictine University, including drills, mechanical work, and throwing programs, and notes that Lou stays up to date on new ideas for pitching and works with pitchers of different types.
