Warren County YMCA Youth Programs include Youth Sports, Childwatch, an After School Program, Camp Meskwaki Summer Day Camp, School’s Out Day Camp, the Waterbugs Swim Team, Swim Lessons, a Father/Daughter Dance, Tumbling, Winter Youth Sports, Youth Basketball, an Indoor Soccer Clinic, and a Pre-Swim Clinic. In Youth Sports, each child plays and games are always safe, fair, and fun, and athletics are used to teach fitness habits and cooperation skills. Waterbugs Swim Team offers high-quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities, and provides each team member the opportunity to improve swimming prowess and achieve success at his or her level, from novice swimmers to international competitors.

• Schedule: Childwatch is offered Monday–Thursday mornings and evenings and Friday mornings; After-School runs from 3:00pm–5:30pm; Waterbugs Swim Team runs September–March; Camp Meskwaki Summer Day Camp 2025 runs June 2–August 8.
• Price: Childwatch is free for members and $10 per day per family for non-members; School’s Out Day Camp is $25.00 for members and $35.00 for non-members; Waterbugs Swim Team fees range from $500 for one swimmer to $1,000 for three swimmers, with $200 for each additional swimmer, and fees can be paid through fundraising and installments.

Camp Meskwaki Summer Day Camp 2025 runs from June 2nd to August 8th and includes an Early Bird Registration period from March 24th–30th and Regular Registration starting March 31st, and it offers a 2025 Counselor in Training (CIT) Program for those going into 7th and 8th grade in the fall of 2025. School’s Out Day Camp has a member fee of $25.00 and a non-member fee of $35.00. After-School is available for Monmouth-Roseville, United, and ICS students, and financial assistance is offered if needed for After-School, with state aid accepted. Fee assistance for After-School and Camp Meskwaki is available through Child Care Resource and Referral of Western Illinois to those who qualify.

Waterbugs Swim Team practices Monday–Friday from 6:00pm–7:30pm, with first-year swimmers 8 years old and under practicing from 6:00pm–7:00pm, and the first official Waterbugs practice is Monday, September 15th. The Waterbugs Swim Team season runs from September through March, and participation requires YMCA membership and successful completion of a coach’s pre-swim evaluation. Fee assistance is available for Waterbugs Swim Team membership, and Waterbugs coaches are members of the American Swimming Coaches Association.

Items to bring to the After School Program include bookbags, notebooks, pencils or pens, sunscreen for outside activities when the weather is nice, hand sanitizer, extra clothes if needed, and swim attire for School’s Out Day Camp only. Adult members 18 and older have 24/7 access to the Wellness Center and Free Weight Rooms, and the Y offers multiple classes for all age groups, from kids to seniors.
