KE Camps offers a variety of activities that include swimming, martial arts, yoga, fitness, arts and crafts, group games, team building, and Super Science. Campers also take part in community service projects, golf instruction, and tennis instruction as part of the program’s schedule.
• Ages: 3–12 years old
Established in 1999, KE Camps operates more than 230 camps in over 35 states and has served more than 12,000 campers. The program describes itself as a small and traditional day camp model with fun, structured and safe camps, and activities and facilities that vary between locations. Weekly traditions include Wacky Wednesdays with theme days, Thankful Thursdays with community service projects, and Friday Fundays with traditions such as wearing silly socks or dressing as twins. SMILE Bands are used by staff to acknowledge positive attributes and to watch campers grow throughout the summer. Weekly Thankful Thursday projects include examples such as Cards for Hospitalized Kids, Alex’s Lemonade Stand, and A Million Thanks. KE Camps is also described as “The Country Club Summer Camp.”
