Fry Family YMCA Youth Programs include activities such as arts and crafts, sports, games, group swim lessons, Dance Fusion, Paddle Board Yoga, and Pilates. Group swim lessons teach water safety and swimming skills in an environment of support and encouragement. School Days Out within the program offers a whole day of activities from arts and crafts to sports and games and is offered for grades K through 5. Membership at the YMCA of Metro Chicago connected to these programs includes group exercise classes, child care while adults work out, community support, empowering youth programs, and unlimited access to any YMCA of Metro Chicago.

• Schedule: Fry Family YMCA hours: Monday - Thursday 5:15 a.m. - 9:15 p.m.; Friday 5:15 a.m. - 8 p.m.; Saturday 6 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Sunday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Over 150 years ago, the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago was created, and in 1858, Chicago’s first YMCA was created. The YMCA has been teaching children and adults how to stay safe in and around the water for 130 years. The YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago has 14 centers, five camps, and nearly 100 extension sites, serving more than 200,000 YMCA members and over half a million Chicagoans each year. School Days Out is hosted at the Fry Family YMCA by YMCA Safe ‘n Sound, and financial assistance is available for School Days Out. Memberships at the YMCA of Metro Chicago have no contracts. The organization states that many years ago, the Y set out to create long-lasting change in communities, remains dedicated to making a difference, and aspires to be the leading social enterprise that helps human beings explore their value and share their discoveries with the world.
