Junior Programs at Springbrook & Naperbrook Golf Courses include golf lessons, group lessons, private lessons, video lessons, Parent/Junior Clinics, Playing Lessons with the Pros, a Junior Developmental League, Junior Clinics, a Junior 9-Hole League, and Junior Summer Camps. Activities in these programs include on-course instruction and play, full swing, pitching, chipping, putting, 9-hole play, and fun competitions.

• Ages: 5–17 years old
• Schedule: Each Parent/Junior Clinic lesson includes one hour of instruction and ninety minutes of golf course play; each Junior Developmental League class is three hours with the first hour for instruction and the next two hours for course time, and there is no Junior Developmental League class on July 8th due to the Junior Amateur Championship.
• Price: Each participant in Parent/Junior Clinics receives a four-token range punch card – a $36 value; Playing Lessons with the Pros participants receive a four-token range punch card – a $50 value; Junior Developmental League, Junior Clinics, Junior 9-Hole League, and Junior Summer Camps participants each receive a four-token range punch card – a $36 value.

Lessons in these junior programs are instructed by experienced and dedicated PGA professionals, and instruction in Playing Lessons with the Pros is offered by PGA professionals. The leadership team includes Kevin Carlson, Director of Golf for Springbrook & Naperbrook; Mike Lyzun, Head Golf Professional at Springbrook; Joel Wallin, Head Golf Professional at Naperbrook; Kody Willis, Lead Assistant Golf Professional at Springbrook; Keaton Burress, Assistant Golf Professional at Springbrook; Don Harshaw, Lead Assistant Golf Professional at Naperbrook; and Blaine Sutton, Assistant Golf Professional at Naperbrook.

According to the program’s mission statement, the staff realizes that learning the game of golf can be a challenge, states that it is their job to make the process fun while helping participants succeed, and notes that lessons are taught primarily by PGA professionals with an experienced staff dedicated to focusing on the needs of the individual student, even within a group lessons environment, with the stated goal of helping participants love the game of golf for life. The Junior Developmental League is described as being for young people with some golf experience who are ready to start playing on the course, with instruction followed by course time and an instructor accompanying each group, and participants receive a four-token range punch card – a $36 value, a junior golfer tee gift, and lunch before playing each week. Junior Clinics are described as being for young people with some golf background and teach basic fundamentals of putting, chipping, full swing, and etiquette, and include a four-token range punch card – a $36 value. The Junior 9-Hole League is described as being for golfers with some on-course playing experience and includes lunch, a golf rules book, and a four-token range punch card – a $36 value. Junior Summer Camps are described as being for those with little or no golf background, offer the opportunity to learn the game while participating in fun competitions, teach fundamentals of putting, chipping, and full swing, and include a four-token range punch card – a $36 value. Parent/Junior Clinics are described as family-oriented and include limited on-course supervision and instruction, and Playing Lessons with the Pros include four hours of range time and four hours of course time, along with a lesson guide and a four-token range punch card – a $50 value.
