Little Blessings Preschool
Little Blessings Preschool at Alleluia! Lutheran Church, 4055 S. Book Road, Naperville, IL 60564
About
Little Blessings Preschool includes daily activities such as circle time, art projects, free play, story time, daily devotions, and large motor play in either a playground or an indoor recreation room. Children also take part in a separate music session led by a music teacher, where they sing, dance with scarves, march with rhythm instruments, and learn songs for monthly Children's Chapel and the Christmas pageant.
• Ages: 2–6 years old
Little Blessings Preschool was established in September 1996 and is celebrating 28 years. The preschool offers a Twos program that introduces two-year-olds to time away from home and uses a preschool curriculum based on monthly seasonal themes and the Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards (IELDS). Teachers have completed training on the new Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards, and the preschool program uses a blended age philosophy with an emphasis on one-on-one and small group instruction. The program accepts children exactly where they are in their development and life experience, welcomes children from all faiths and backgrounds, and states that there are no limits on what a child is permitted to learn. In blended-age settings, older children work with younger children, and younger children learn from their older peers.
The kindergarten program at Little Blessings Preschool has a 10:1 student-teacher ratio and uses Eureka Math and Scott Foresman Reading Street. Children who stay for lunch and enrichment receive food prepared on-site with wholesome ingredients and an avoidance of processed foods. The teaching staff is described as long term, well educated, and dedicated, and the music sessions are led by specially trained music teachers. The program’s mission is to develop children socially, emotionally, and academically in a loving, secure Christian environment.
Little Blessings Preschool is a ministry of Alleluia! Lutheran Church in Naperville, Illinois, and all are invited and welcome to worship at the church on Sundays at 9:00 and 10:30am. The preschool setting includes two large indoor playrooms, a well-equipped playground, and an outdoor classroom.
