Special Gifts Theatre Programs

Special Gifts Theatre Programs offers theatre-based activities including Creativity in Motion, Creating Outside the Lines, Musical Theatre, and Improvisational Theatre. Participants take part in structured sessions that follow seasonal schedules across fall, spring, and summer, with specific classes meeting once a week in the late afternoon or early evening. Musical Theatre sessions include rehearsals that lead to performances of shows such as The Little Mermaid Jr., Moana Jr., Aladdin Jr., The Wizard of Oz, Mary Poppins Jr., and Descendants, The Musical.

• Ages: 7–18 years old
• Schedule: Seasonal sessions across fall, winter, spring, and summer, with most classes meeting once per week between approximately 4:15 pm and 7:45 pm

Special Gifts Theatre’s stated mission is to foster self-confidence, social, speech and language skills in individuals with disabilities, using educational and therapeutic techniques with the stage as the platform integrating creativity and fun. The organization notes a Peer Mentor program, a Community Walk Fundraiser, Fundraise Your Way options, recognition of its 25th Anniversary, and involvement in research studies.
