About

IVCC Ed'Venture Camp offers activities that include coding, game design, game animation, programming, and content creation. Teen Career Exploration Camps within IVCC Ed'Venture Camp also include basic MIG welding, workplace safety, basic manufacturing processes, and basic print reading skills.

• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Hours Monday–Friday with options between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM; Teen Career Exploration camps run 1–4 days in duration.

IVCC's Ed'Venture Camp for Kids offers camps designed around career exploration for youth ages 5 and older and includes activities that focus on enrichment learning and building key skills for future success. Teen Career Exploration Camps are taught by IVCC faculty and aim to expose students to careers in health, manufacturing and automotive, trucking, culinary, and welding through interactive discussion and hands-on simulation. Essential skills needed to succeed on the job and in life are incorporated into each Teen Career Exploration camp. The program includes in-person options as well as live online virtual learning experiences, with Online LIVE STEAM Camps for ages 8–11 and 11–13, Teen Career Exploration Camps for ages 13–17, GRIP! STEM Academy for ages 13–17, SPARK! IVCC Jr. Welding Academy for ages 13–17, SCRUBS! Healthcare Pathways for ages 13–17, PLC Bootcamp! Programmable Logic Controllers for ages 13–17, YES, CHEF! Teen Culinary Camp for ages 13–17, and GEAR UP! Truck Driver Training for Teens for ages 16–18. Programs for ages 5–12 are available June through August. GEAR UP! Truck Driver Training for Teens requires participants to be 16–18 years old. Blended in-person classes for kids and adults are available when a child is registered and attends with a registered adult, and each participant in these blended classes completes their own project. Options for blended in-person classes include an Intergenerational Drum Circle on July 24 and a Wicked: The Musical Bus Trip on July 27. The 2024 Teen Exploration camps are partially supported with grant funding.
