IVCC Youth Summer Camp Programs include activities such as coding, game design, game animation, programming, content creation, basic MIG welding, workplace safety, basic manufacturing processes, basic print reading skills, hands on simulation, and opportunities to design, build and program a robot. The programs include in-person options on the IVCC campus and live online virtual learning experiences. YES, CHEF! Teen Culinary Camp is held in IVCC's culinary classroom.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Programs for ages 5–12 are available June–July; each Teen Career Exploration camp is 1–4 days in duration
IVCC's Ed'Venture Camp for Kids is for ages 5+ and is designed around career exploration. Online LIVE STEAM Camps are offered for ages 8–11 and 11–13. Teen Career Exploration Camps, including GRIP! STEM Academy, SPARK! IVCC Jr. Welding Academy, SCRUBS! Healthcare Pathways, PLC Bootcamp! Programmable Logic Controllers, YES, CHEF! Teen Culinary Camp, GEAR UP! Truck Driver Training for Teens, and Build it. Code it. Compete. Teen Robotics Camp, are for ages 13–17, with GEAR UP! Truck Driver Training for Teens specifically requiring participants to be 16–18 years old. Build it. Code it. Compete. Teen Robotics Camp is new for 2026.
Teen Career Exploration Camps are taught by IVCC faculty and are held in IVCC’s state-of-the-art labs. These camps expose students to careers in Health, Manufacturing/Automotive, Trucking, Culinary, Robotics and Welding through interactive discussion and hands on simulation. Programs are coordinated by the IVCC Continuing Education Center, and 2026 Teen Exploration camps are partially supported with grant funding. If registering online, the profile should be created for the camper, not the adult registering them.
The leadership contact for these programs is Ellen Evancheck, Director of Learning Resources. A participant in Chef Sara Fitzpatrick’s Holiday Appetizers & Libations class described it as an “Awesome Class” and commented that “Everything was so delicious,” “It was my first cooking class,” and “Chef Sara is the absolute best.”
