Joon Lee's Tae Kwon Do students are invited to participate in the Chicago Taekwondo Expo in Elgin, Illinois, scheduled for August 30, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with tournament training classes on Saturdays July 18 and 25 and August 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29 from 1:00–3:00 p.m. Joon Lee’s Tae Kwon Do actively competes in state and national martial arts tournaments and is described as one of the few martial arts schools in the Midwest to do so. Grandmaster Joon Lee was presented with the USTGS President Award at the 18th Annual Hall of Fame Ceremony and was inducted into the Tae Kwon Do Hall of Fame at the 18th Annual Hall of Fame Awards ceremony held by the United States Taekwondo Grandmasters Society. This ceremony included the “Myong-in” or “Virtuoso” award, which has been given six times, and Grandmaster Lee received it directly from President Shin as one of only four Grandmasters in the country to receive this award.
