Palos AYSO Region 733 offers youth soccer programs. The program follows the American Youth Soccer Organization mission of developing youth soccer programs in a fun, family environment. Everyone plays on teams that are chosen to be as balanced as possible, and the league is described as being for the players.
Palos AYSO Region 733 promotes positive coaching and good sportsmanship while developing each player's individual ability. It is a fully volunteer-run organization and welcomes volunteers for any job, and states that no matter what a person's soccer experience is, from none to advanced team play, the organization will help them along the way. The stated mission is “Providing world class youth soccer programs that enrich children's lives.”
The regional leadership team includes Regional Commissioner Dave Delach, Regional Treasurer Noe Valencia, Regional Referee Administrator Ed Waxmansky, Tournament Coordinator Marie Marrero, Regional Child and Volunteer Protection Advocate Dan McCarthy, and Coach Admin Isaly Morgan. The board also includes Regional Board Members Ed Toth, Anna Koenig, Mike Oliveri, Jaclyn Toth, Sirena Salman, Tony DeTratto, Mike Gaw, Andrew Erdman, Jane Haddad, Joy Callahan, Katie Survance, and Michelle Pizur, along with Advisory Board Members Chris Roe, Jim Daemicke, Suj Sundararaj, Brian Burke, and Matt Ceretto.
Palos AYSO Region 733 is part of AYSO, whose president, Michael Karon, was recognized by Stack Sports for his impact in the world of sports volunteering. The broader AYSO organization is involved with Chicago Public Schools to enhance youth sports programming through partnership with the American Youth Soccer Organization.
