Illinois Valley YMCA Youth Camps and Swim Lessons include kids summer swim lessons, Runway Remix Fashion Camp, and Mermaids & Pirates Camp. Kids summer swim lessons run June 8–July 11, 2026, with Y-Member sign-up starting May 25, 2026, and Non-Y Member sign-up starting June 1, 2026. Runway Remix Fashion Camp meets on June 23, 2026, from 9 AM–12 PM, and Mermaids & Pirates Camp meets on June 16, 2026, from 9 AM–12 PM.

The program is part of a YMCA that also offers American Red Cross Lifeguard trainings, group exercise classes such as Indoor Cycling, BodyCOMBAT, Body Pump, EARLY AM BODYPUMP, Grit CARDIO, RestoraYin Yoga, Ageless Yoga, SilverSneakers Classic, ROCK STEADY BOXING, Tai Chi, and PILATES. Additional youth and family services at the same YMCA include Preschool, Before & After School Care, Summer Camps, and Drop-in Child Care.

The mission of the Illinois Valley YMCA is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. The Aquatic Director is Doug Mille, and the CEO of Illinois Valley YMCA is Chris Weittenhiller. The YMCA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit social services organization. Aquatic Director Doug Mille is the recipient of the 2025 Stormy Webster Award, and CEO Chris Weittenhiller is the recipient of the Leadership Legacy Award.

The YMCA runs a Phones Down, Eyes Up campaign for water safety during National Water Safety Month. It offers a therapy pool, a Family Fun Waterpark, a competition pool, and the Y30 Zone, and it uses the mY Rewards app to accumulate points and gain rewards. Special tours in Spanish are available on Thursdays and Fridays from 9:30. The YMCA participates in community events such as Senior Bingo, where Gift of Hope has provided a presentation and prizes, Goldwater Care Spring Valley has provided lunch, and Heritage Woods of Ottawa is listed as a future Senior Bingo speaker.
