Camp 56 includes acting, singing, movement, dancing, auditioning, improvisation, design, make-up, prop making, technical theatre, management, and musical theatre. Campers are cast in, rehearse, and perform with experienced professionals from the Festival 56 company in the mainstage production of The Little Mermaid. Over the course of one month, campers take part in professional dress and tech rehearsals and participate in the production from its opening until closing night.

• Schedule: Weekdays from July 7–July 18, over the course of one month
• Price: The camp fee is $125 per child. Need-based scholarships are available, as are family discounts. Service fees apply when purchasing online.
The culmination of the Camp 56 experience is an onstage appearance as part of the chorus ensemble in five to ten performances of the Festival 56 production of The Little Mermaid, scheduled from July 25–August 3. The Education Committee of the Princeton Theatre Group Camp 56 Learning Stages, in cooperation with Festival 56, states a mission to bring educationally sound professional theatre experiences to young actors ages 8–14. Camp 56 is led by camp Co Directors and assistants and works with industry professionals assembled from across the country, including seasoned professional artists and experienced professionals from the Festival 56 company. The Education Committee of the Princeton Theatre Group Camp 56 Learning Stages runs the program in cooperation with Festival 56.
Registration forms can be picked up at the theater or accessed online. Camp forms and registration fees can be mailed to the Festival box office or scanned and returned by email to [email protected]. Families who choose to pay online are directed to the ticketing site and to click on Camp 56, and the registration deadline is June 30, 2025.
