Prospect Heights Park District Youth & Family Programs include activities such as basketball, swim team, swim lessons, golf, a soccer league, baseball, dance, performing arts, open gym, and bingo. • Schedule: GMRC facility hours run Monday–Thursday 6:00A–9:00P, Friday 6:00A–6:00P, and Saturday–Sunday 8:00A–5:00P. GMRC front desk hours run Monday–Thursday 7:30A–9:00P, Friday 7:30A–6:00P, Saturday 8:00A–5:00P, and Sunday 9:00A–5:00P. GMRC holiday hours include limited hours on December 31 (8:00A–12:00P) and closures on January 1 (New Year’s Day), April 5 (Easter), May 25 (Memorial Day), July 4 (Independence Day), and September 7 (Labor Day).
The programs are held in a recreation center that includes a gym with a full size basketball court, locker rooms with saunas, a fitness center, a dance room, two meeting rooms with full size kitchens, one racquetball court, one fitness studio, five outdoor tennis courts, two outdoor pickleball courts, a softball field, a baseball field, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, and a picnic shelter. Meeting rooms, the swimming pool, and the picnic shelter are available for private rental. The facility also has a Lightning Alert System, public Wi‑Fi, and access to the recreation center is limited to the front entrance.
