Rantoul Rush Youth Sports Leagues offers activities that include rec-soccer, Youth Soccer, Youth Football, t-ball, Wiffle-ball, wiffleball, kickball, Baseball, Softball, rec-ball, travel ball, a Youth Travel League, competitive baseball, camp-style learning for kiddos 3-5, and competitive play for ages U6 to U14. The program also connects with tournaments, movie nights, mini golf, and indoor simulators, and is part of a broader lineup that includes a leisure slow-pitch league for adults and Adult 11v11 Leagues.
• Ages: 3–13 years old
• Schedule: Signups for Spring begin in late February and Fall signups begin in mid-August; Adult 11v11 Leagues run Spring, Summer, and Fall with games on Sundays at times determined by signup; business office hours are Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM.
Leagues are run by business partners and the Rantoul Recreation Department, which has partnered with the communities of Paxton, Fisher, and Gibson City to bring Youth Soccer back to Rantoul. Adult 11v11 Leagues are managed by partners at Soccer Planet, and the Central Illinois Youth Football League includes several communities from the greater Central Illinois area. Rantoul Rush Baseball and Softball are local affiliates responsible for hosting the Spring/Summer League and tournaments in October, and the Challenger diamonds are built for Adaptive Sports and Special Olympic usage. The Rantoul Family Sports Complex was constructed in 2021 and operates with a mission to create economic impact for the community of Rantoul and Champaign County. The leadership team includes Brandon Denton, Director of Operations, who has over a decade of experience managing large indoor and outdoor facilities, staff, and oversight, and Brad Frerichs, Maintenance Supervisor, who has worked with the Rantoul Recreation Department for many years maintaining fields, parks, and other department needs.
