Nature Quest Camps includes activities where kids make crafts, play games, and explore the great outdoors. Camp days can include mountain biking, hiking, running, tubing, and time in a terrain park. Summer camp at Alpine Hills Adventure Park mixes classic camp activities with a different theme each week.
• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: Spring Nature Quest runs Monday–Thursday during the week of spring break, and Fall Nature Quest runs Monday–Wednesday during Thanksgiving week
Spring Nature Quest is available Monday–Thursday during the week of spring break, and families can sign up for one, two, three, or all four days of camp. Each day of Spring Nature Quest focuses on what living things do in the spring, including what plants, animals, and humans do. Fall Nature Quest is available Monday–Wednesday during Thanksgiving week, and families can sign up for one, two, or all three days of camp. Each day of Fall Nature Quest has different themes and includes learning about what plants, animals, and humans do in the fall. Alpine Hills Adventure Park features a snow park, and the Snow Park at Alpine Hills is a 5-acre snow park divided into separate tubing and terrain park sections designed to accommodate riders of all abilities. Alpine Hills Adventure Park is host to one of the Rockford Park District's most popular camps, Nature Quest. The land for Alpine Hills Adventure Park was donated to the Rockford Park District Foundation by the Hansberger family back in 2011.
