Rockford Park District Summer Camps include day camps, Recreation Camps, Playground Programs, and Time 2 Play neighborhood playground programs. The program also offers Nature Quest, Horse Camps, Sports Camps, a Golf Program, hockey, and volleyball.

The Rockford Park District states its mission as “To help people enjoy life” by providing a quality park and recreation system. The district employs hundreds of area teens in its programs. The General Manager of Rockford Park District’s Youth Sports programs and Clarence Hicks Sports Complex is Lamont Jones. The district’s “Sun Singer” logo has been in use for 50 years. The Rockford Park District invites families and beginner golfers of all ages to attend Golf Sunday Fun Days, which are supported by the Bill Laude Memorial Fund. Two trees at Dahlquist Park have been officially recognized as Illinois State Champion trees. Aldeen Golf Club in the district is the only golf course in the region to have the Better Billy Bunker system. Clarence Hicks Sports Complex is a newly expanded, state-of-the-art stadium that is the official home of Rockford F.I.R.E.
