About
The Studio offers theatrical productions, private lessons, studio sessions, art workshops, and summer camps. The program includes full-scale experiential productions for kids of all ages and multiple chances for each age group to be part of productions on a big stage. Instruction is described as professional and aims to make every student feel welcome, loved, and valued, while focusing on excellence and having fun.

The Studio was created in 2014 by Adam Walsh and his wife, Courtney Walsh, in their hometown of Rockford, Illinois. Its mission statement is “excellence, while having fun.” The leadership team includes Adam Walsh, a musician, composer, teacher, former children’s pastor, and co-creator of The Studio, and Courtney Walsh, a published author, mixed media artist, theatre director, playwright, and co-creator of The Studio. Adam has a B.S. in Music from Bradley University, and Courtney has a B.S. in Theatre and a B.S. in Journalism from Bradley University and studied acting at Circle in the Square in New York City. Courtney Walsh’s debut novel, A Sweethaven Summer, reached the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists.
