The Round Lake Area Park District's Summer Camp Program states that it strives to provide a safe and fun environment for all children. Programs are under the supervision of the Park District Risk Management Agency (PDRMA), which focuses on the safety of participants, staff, and camp activities. The program is supervised by staff who are certified in first aid and CPR, and camp staff participate in training in first aid, CPR, camp curricula, and behavior management.
A payment plan is available for camp, and the Round Lake Area Park District provides financial assistance and scholarships to residents who are interested in enrolling but are unable due to financial difficulties. Emergency Forms Automation for Recreation (ePACT) is used to collect camper health history and emergency forms, and families need two emergency contacts and a photo of their child to upload for ePACT. An orientation will be held June 4, 2026, in the Senior Center at Rolek Community Center.
Campers are asked to come dressed in comfortable clothes and shoes that can get dirty, with gym shoes highly recommended. Campers should bring a reusable water bottle, a healthy lunch, a healthy snack, a swimsuit, a towel, and sunscreen to camp each day.
