Camp Kids Are Kids Chicago offers campfires, talent shows, arts and crafts, games, and excursions to attractions throughout the city. The program also offers virtual camp programs when in-person participation is not an option. The Hilton hotels magically transforms into bunk cabins for the camp experience.

All staff are thoroughly background checked and trained. Medical staff are available 24/7 to administer medications, change dressings, and respond to all campers’ health needs, and full medical support and trained medical professionals are onsite for the duration of the camp. The Camp Director is Rich Brundige. The mission of Camp Kids Are Kids Chicago is fostering a spirit of joy in a fun, safe, and medically sound, urban recreational environment that builds self esteem, independence, and friendships for children living with cancer and their siblings. The program is a proud member of KOA Care Camps and Children’s Oncology Camping Association-International (COCA-I), an organization of 125 member camps founded in 1982 that served the needs of 35,500 campers in 2014. Care Camps support Camp Kids Are Kids Chicago and similar camps through their grants.
