Camp Kids Are Kids Chicago offers campfires, talent shows, arts and crafts, games, and excursions to attractions throughout the city. The program also offers virtual camp programs when being in person is not an option. The Hilton hotels magically transforms into bunk cabins for the camp experience.

Camp Kids Are Kids Chicago is an urban camp for children living with and beyond cancer and their siblings. The mission of the program is fostering a spirit of joy in a fun, safe, and medically sound, urban recreational environment that builds self esteem, independence, and friendships for children living with cancer and their siblings. All staff are thoroughly background checked and trained, and medical staff are available 24/7 to administer medications, change dressings, and respond to all campers’ health needs, with full medical support and trained medical professionals onsite for the duration of the camp. The Camp Director is Rich Brundige. The program is a proud member of KOA Care Camps and Children’s Oncology Camping Association-International (COCA-I), an organization of 125 member camps, and is supported by KOA Care Camps through grants. COCA-I was founded in 1982.
