Stone Ledge Farm Lesson Academy & Summer Camp Program

Stone Ledge Farm Lesson Academy & Summer Camp Program includes a lesson academy, a lesson program, and a summer camp program where participants learn to ride and can take part in competition ride activities. The program also offers group events or parties at Stone Ledge and an academy program connected to training and showing Morgan horses. Brokerage services are available for families and riders who need them.

James (Jamie) Gruenberg and Becky Gruenberg opened Stone Ledge Farm in the spring of 2000 and have worked together for over 20 years training and showing Morgan horses and running the lesson and summer camp program. The leadership team includes James (Jamie) Gruenberg, Owner/Trainer; Becky Gruenberg, Owner/Trainer; Bailey Schaller, Assistant Trainer; Christie Batka, Academy Program Director; and Allie Clutter, Groups Coordinator & Instructor. Stone Ledge Farm is described as a premier Morgan Horse training and academy stable with an extensive academy program and a calendar packed with events for riders and owners, and it is home of World Champion horses. Gift cards are available for the program.

James is the current President of the Jubilee Regional Morgan Horse Show, serves on the AMHA Board of Directors for the Central Region, and is the 2024 UPHA Chapter 10 Horse Person of the Year. Becky serves on the USEF Saddle Seat Equitation committee. Christie is a Safe Sport Certified Instructor and serves as the Marketing Coordinator for the AMHA Young Adult Alliance. Allie is a full-time student and wildlife biology major at Rock Valley College and is the Groups Coordinator & Instructor. The mission of James and Becky in opening Stone Ledge Farm was to fill its aisles and stalls with good people and good horses and to spread the joy and satisfaction of being involved with the Morgan horse. One instructor, Allie Clutter, states, “I love to see the joy I can bring my students through teaching!”
