Sycamore Youth Football & Cheer offers a flag football camp that includes basic drills and small scrimmages. The program runs a series of flag football sessions that bring participants together for structured practice and game-style play.
• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: Flag football camp sessions on July 21–23 in the early evening
• Price: As always, our camp is free to all attendees.
Flag football camp begins on July 21 from 5:30–7:00 pm with NIU Football players and coaches for all grades K–6, with a parent meeting right after drop off in the team room of the Chessick Center as close to 5:30 pm as possible on July 21. On July 22, camp runs from 5:30–7:00 pm for grades 3–6, and on July 23, camp runs from 5:30–7:00 pm for grades K–2. The organization’s leadership team includes Rick Amato, President, and Shawna Krenz, President of Cheer. Sycamore Youth Football & Cheer has a mission statement that includes a code of conduct for parents and their guests to support sportsmanship, fair play, skill development, and respect for all participants. The program is a Cheer Safe Organization, is part of the Illinois Recreational Cheer Association, and is a USA Football Site. Sycamore Youth Football & Cheer has a special partnership with the NIU Huskie Football Team and the Sycamore HS Spartans Football Team, and featured sponsors include the Baird & Warner team led by Jim DuMont, Corson Decorating & Remodeling, and Hobnobbers. Sycamore Youth Football & Cheer is and has always been a volunteer organization. Equipment, including the game jersey and cheer uniform, are the property of Sycamore Youth Football & Cheer, and a retainer check will be provided.
