Summer Day Camp includes planned outings and activities such as picnics, swimming, movies, story-telling, bowling, music, arts and crafts, games, and other special events. Experienced and trained staff accompany the campers during these activities.

Summer Day Camp is part of Community Support Systems, which is committed to enhancing opportunities to Live, Learn, Work, and Play. The program is led by Sandy Vansaghi. Community Support Systems thanks donors including the Teutopolis and Olney Knights of Columbus Councils, Effingham Elks Lodge #1016, Carrie Winters Trust, ADM Cares, Ameren, and HMAC. All materials are available in accessible format and in languages other than English upon request. Testimonials from parents describe looking forward to the camp each summer, using the program as time to recharge, and being “really, really happy” with it, calling it “the next best thing to home.”
