Menno Haven Camp & Retreat Center Summer Programs

Menno Haven Camp & Retreat Center Youth Programs include activities where participants walk through the woods, sing around a campfire as the sun sets, paddle a canoe, and listen to a chorus of frogs. The programs take place on grounds that are described as “God's sanctuary” and are dedicated to providing a set aside place for guests and campers to experience God’s World and Christ’s Kingdom through worship, fellowship, recreation, growth, and renewal. The youth programs are part of a larger set of year-round offerings that include Summer Camps, Winter Retreats, Family Camp, GrandCamp, a Women’s Retreat, and Adventure Education with High Ropes, Initiatives, a Climbing Wall, and Cooperatives.

Serving youth and churches since 1958, Menno Haven Camp & Retreat Center states its mission as inviting all to experience God’s World and Christ’s Kingdom in a camp and retreat setting through opportunities for worship, fellowship, recreation, growth, and renewal. Menno Haven is a member of the Christian Camp & Conference Association and the Mennonite Camping Association and is associated with the Illinois Mennonite Conference. It hosts a variety of church groups, family reunions, school groups, businesses, and special events in addition to operating its own year-round programs for youth and adults, and it provides camping opportunities for children, youth, and adults of the Illinois Mennonite Conference, with neighbors and friends also welcome.
