The Cage is an indoor baseball and softball training program that offers lessons, individual rentals, team rentals, camps, clinics, and athletic training. Participants can use batting cages for batting practice, a full length pitching lane for pitching, and a fully turfed room that can be opened up for fielding work.
The Cage was founded in 2008 by Shawn and Ryan Tabeling. The founders remain dedicated to offering the community a baseball and softball experience that includes instruction from some of the top, most experienced instructors in the area. The facility describes itself as Downstate Illinois' premier indoor baseball and softball training facility, with athletic training available in the training area.
