About
Illinois Basketball Club offers personal training, group training, skill training, agility training, jump training, and strength training for young basketball players. Each participant receives five sessions of training that include these activities. The event is open to both boys and girls, and each registered player receives an event t-shirt.
• Ages: 8–13 years old
• Schedule: Three grade-based sessions on Monday, June 9, with each participant receiving five sessions of training
The program’s mission is to train and equip basketball players physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Its vision is for young basketball players in Central Illinois to have tools to reach their full potential in the sport and in life. The camp is conducted by Director and Coach Delandis Beck and assisted by Illini basketball players Adalia McKenzie, Ben Humrichous, and Genesis Bryant, with administration by Jamie. Illinois Basketball Club notes that its day-to-day operation is intended to serve players from Champaign north to Kankakee, east to Danville, south to Effingham, west to Springfield, and surrounding areas. As part of 2026 Community Partners, the program also encourages athletes to wear their event t-shirt each day along with appropriate basketball shorts and gym shoes.
