Summer Day Camp meets on weekdays and runs for multiple weeks during the summer. Lunch is not provided, and each child is required to bring a lunch.
• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7 AM–5 PM, from May 26th through August 7th
• Price: $150/week for members and $175/week for non-members; for more than one child per family, $125/week per additional child (member) and $150/week per additional child (potential member)
The program is offered by the Family YMCA of Fayette County. The leadership team includes Ben Frazier, Chief Executive Officer; Zach Wuebbels, Program Director; Mary Beth Young, Accounting; and Alex Goldesberry, Community Director. The mission of the Family YMCA of Fayette County is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. The organization states that it is a leading nonprofit committed to helping all people realize their fullest potential and grow in spirit, mind, and body, and that it serves people of all ages, backgrounds, abilities, and incomes and believes that programs and services should be available to everyone. Membership For All is a financial assistance program with a sliding fee scale for youth and families who join and participate in programs, and no person is denied the benefits of a Y membership based on financial limitations.
