Prairie States Christian Service Camp is a non-profit, non-denominational Christian camp. The camp states that it is proud to be one of, if not the least expensive camp to attend. Less than 25% of camp costs are covered by the fees charged, and the rest of the budget is provided by people who support the camp’s work.

The camp is directed by a Camp Manager, Dustin Wells, who is responsible to a Board of Directors composed of members of supporting churches of Christ (also known as Christian churches). The mission of Prairie States Christian Service Camp is to be a great investment in spiritual development, to continually look for new ways to improve sharing the love of Jesus, and to create a positive Christian experience for all who attend. The Board of Directors is made up of members from supporting churches of Christ located in Iroquois, Ford, Kankakee, and Vermilion Counties in Illinois, and Jasper, Newton, and Pulaski Counties in Indiana.
