Mosaics Garden Workshops and Classes offers hands-on mosaic art experiences such as Glass Cutting Skills for Mosaic Art, Glass on Glass Mosaics, Mosaics 101/Starter Course, and a Mosaic Garden Pole Workshop. Participants work with projects including 3D pique assiette, Mandala mosaics, Glass on Glass Mosaic student art, Pique Assiette student art, Tempered Glass mixed media collage-style mosaic art, and a mosaic Butterflies installation, as well as glass mosaic murals titled “Cosmic Flow.” Workshops are described as immersive experiences where students learn, laugh, and walk away with a finished piece, and the studio is described as filled to the brim with materials that students use.

Traditional mosaic workshops at Mosaics Garden Workshops and Classes vary from 3D pique assiette and glass on glass to basic glass cutting skills and more, and workshops are typically beginner to intermediate level learning unless otherwise noted. Mosaics 101 includes creating an outdoor mandala mosaic and a stained glass mosaic art flower, and the Mosaic Garden Pole Workshop includes designing and creating an individual colorful mosaic garden pole using a 30" tall PVC pole, pole topper with adornment, mosaic tesserea (tiles and glass), adhesives, additives, grouts, and sealants. Online options include a Tempered Glass Mosaics online course, a Garden Mosaic Pole online course, and At Home AnyTime Mosaic Kits that are available 24/7 and never sell out, and online courses can be taken at home “in your jammies.” Glass Cutting Skills for Mosaic Art includes instruction, all practice glass, mosaic tool usage, safety glasses, and BandAids; Glass on Glass Mosaics includes all supplies, art glass, a 12x12 framed glass window, cathedral glass, No Days adhesives, and mosaic studio tool usage; and Mosaics 101 includes all materials and tool usage.
Mosaics and Wine classes were formerly offered with a related Glass Mosaic Frame Kit project. The program is led by professional artist and instructor Nancy Keating, who discovered her mosaic passion over 25 years ago, received intensive training at the Institute of Mosaic Art in Oakland, California, and studied under mosaic artists Laurel True and Isaiah Zagar. She is a juried/chosen Indiana Artisan, Carmel Arts & Design Artisan, and Indiana Glass Trail Artisan, and over the years she has instructed over 2,000 students. Her community work includes sixteen large glass mosaic butterflies installed along the Monon Trail in MidTown/Carmel IN and two large outdoor glass mosaic murals titled “Cosmic Flow,” and her artwork can be found at Carmel Art On Main and Indiana Artisan Galleries.
