About

The Point Theater offers workshops in dance, vocals, acting, and improv, along with summer camp options and theatrical productions. The program presents high quality, professional-level theatrical productions, and audience members come to see children's theater but leave seeing a professional level performance. The Point Theater is the Midwest's largest youth theater.

• Ages: 3–18 years old

The Point Theater’s mission is to cultivate a safe and inclusive community where students can authentically express themselves, fostering personal growth, achievement, and artistic education within a backdrop of mutual respect, support, and amusement, and to deliver theatrical performances described as jaw-droppingly amazing. The organization is a non-profit 501(c)3 educational organization that prioritizes building character and creating a safe, happy place for its students. It is proudly faith-based and non-discriminatory, is committed to advancing inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility for all, states that hate speech will not be tolerated, and identifies the safety of its students, staff, and community as its highest priority. The Point Theater states that no student is ever turned away due to financial need.

The leadership team includes Founder and Artistic Director Laura Baltz, Managing Director Kim Drake, Production Coordinators Jessalyn Larsen and Alexia Aung, Ticket Coordinator Lindsay True, Graphic Design staff member Sara Musick, and Show/Production Coordinator Grace Kubek. Alexia graduated from Ball State University with a degree in Theater.

A student testimonial from Grace, age 11, states that The Point gives her a place to be herself, where she does not have to worry if she is different or saying the right thing, and that she feels like she is home every time she is at The Point.
