• Schedule: Office hours Monday–Friday 9am–5pm; in the event of an emergency while a child is attending camp, families can call the Dunes Learning Center office at 219-395-9555 ext. 5, Monday–Friday 8am–9pm
Dunes Learning Center has been inspiring curiosity for nature with year-round programs for school groups and summer campers since 1998. Its mission is to offer outdoor environmental science programs to inspire lasting curiosity and stewardship with nature. The organization proudly serves more than 20,000 students annually across Northwest Indiana, Chicago, and beyond, and it has a strong scholarship program that breaks down financial barriers, connects science with the real world, and supports kids in discovering how they can make a difference. While delivering outdoor learning adventures overnight and under the stars, the programs create pathways to environmental careers and focus on developing stewards of tomorrow. Dunes Learning Center is accredited by the American Camp Association, and it is the official outdoor school of Indiana Dunes National Park.
