About

Children Inc. Learning Center offers a variety of activities supervised by experienced childcare educators, including lessons tailored to the needs of the children in each classroom. The program includes activities geared to the educational, physical, emotional, and social needs of each child, as well as activities geared toward increasing skills. Children also spend time practicing STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math).

Children Inc. Learning Center is a licensed childcare learning center for infants to 12 years of age with school age. Services include care for infants 6 weeks to 12 months, toddlers age 1 to 3, preschoolers and pre-kindergarten, and after school and full day services while school is not in session for children in kindergarten through age 12. Services are designed to give children 6 weeks to age 12 a solid foundation to be productive adults and community members, and high quality services incorporate expertly-crafted curriculums designed to address children's needs. The program uses the Creative Curriculum to plan lessons tailored to the needs of the children in each classroom and encourages family engagement during children’s enrollment.

For over 50 years Children Inc. Learning Center has served families in Bartholomew County. The mission of Children Inc. is to provide a high quality, safe, stimulating, social, emotional and educational foundation for the children in the community. The program welcomes families regardless of economic, social, religious or cultural differences and is committed to providing quality education services to families in Bartholomew County.

Children Inc. Learning Center is an Indiana Childcare Licensed Center and a Level 4 Paths to Quality childcare provider. It is a high-quality Paths to Quality Level 4, nationally accredited learning center and is NECPA (The National Early Childhood Program Accreditation) accredited. Teacher/child ratios are 1 teacher to 4 children for infants, 1 to 5 for toddlers, 1 to 10 for 3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds, and 1 to 15 for school-age children. The program accepts vouchers, CCDF contract, United Way, On My Way PreK, and other scholarship programs when alternative funding sources are available and families qualify.
