FFY Aquatics is part of Foundation For Youth and is one of the Athletics and Aquatics programs offered there. Children and teens can swim with FFY Aquatics as one of several activities that also include FFY Athletics, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Columbus Youth Camp, and the CYD Youth Ambassador program.

Foundation For Youth has been a community pillar for youth and families since 1928 and includes programs such as Athletics, Aquatics, Boys & Girls Club, Columbus Youth Camp, TBRI: Foundation For Hope, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bartholomew County, the Council for Youth Development, Prevention Initiatives, and Safe Place. The mission of Foundation For Youth is “To Inspire and Enable Our Youth, Our Community.” Foundation For Youth is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is designated a Platinum Level participant for its commitment to transparency. Some staff are certified through the Child and Youth Care Certification Board (CYCCB), a nationally recognized certification that reflects rigorous professional standards in youth development, relationship building, crisis intervention, and ethical practice. FFY offers a wide range of programs that reach thousands of children each year, including sports leagues, out of school activities, camps, prevention, and mentoring services, and its programs are grounded in four cornerstones: Commitment to Learning, Character and Leadership, Positive Identity, and Healthy Lifestyles. Data from Foundation For Youth show that Club Kids who attend 52 times or more annually are significantly more likely to graduate from high school, and that youth matched with a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters are far less likely to be involved in the juvenile justice system.
