Foundation For Youth Aquatics is part of Foundation For Youth (FFY) and includes swim lessons and water aerobics, along with other activities such as basketball, volleyball, golf clinics, pickleball, and open gym. The broader FFY programs also include afterschool programs, full day summer programs, tutoring, homework help, summer learning loss prevention, summer camps, outdoor adventures, a challenge course, hiking, archery, leadership development, and youth voice advocacy. FFY states that its aquatics programs promote water safety, physical health, and confidence for all ages.

Foundation For Youth (FFY) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has been a community pillar for youth and families across Bartholomew County and beyond since 1928. Its mission is “To Inspire and Enable Our Youth, Our Community.” FFY offers a wide range of programs, including sports leagues, out of school activities, camps, prevention, and mentoring services, and promotes values such as community, connection, and accountability, grounded in four cornerstones: Commitment to Learning; Character and Leadership; Positive Identity; Healthy Lifestyles. FFY is designated a Platinum Level participant for its commitment to transparency.
FFY’s community involvement includes Big Brothers Big Sisters, which offers 1:1 and small group youth mentoring programs, and the Council for Youth Development, a cross-sector coalition that aligns efforts to advance a culture of positive youth development in Bartholomew County and works with partners to promote positive mental health and address substance abuse and misuse. FFY is the licensed Safe Place agency responsible for operating the Safe Place national outreach and prevention program for youth in crisis in the community. FFY also offers TBRI: Foundation For Hope, a trauma-informed framework that uses consistent language, nurturing engagement, and emotional regulation strategies that build trust and create lasting change. Parents are directed to contact Janine Proto, Volunteer Resource Manager, for leadership and volunteer resource information.
