Foundation For Youth (FFY) has been a community organization for youth and families across Bartholomew County and beyond since 1928. Its mission is “To Inspire and Enable Our Youth, Our Community.” FFY programs are grounded in four cornerstones: Commitment to Learning, Character and Leadership, Positive Identity, and Healthy Lifestyles. Athletics and Aquatics programs at FFY are described as cultivating discipline, cooperation, and confidence to lead. FFY is home to programs including Athletics, Aquatics, Boys & Girls Club, Columbus Youth Camp, TBRI: Foundation For Hope, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bartholomew County, Council for Youth Development, Bartholomew County Prevention Initiatives, and Safe Place. Staff are certified through the Child and Youth Care Certification Board (CYCCB). Foundation For Youth is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and is designated a Platinum Level participant for its commitment to transparency. FFY relies on community support, volunteers, and partnerships, and former FFY participants are now active in local businesses, schools, hospitals, city government, and other community roles.
