Japanese Taiko drumming has been played in Japan for over 2000 years, and the word taiko means big drum. One class is designed for persons with Parkinson’s and their care partners or families and is intended for anyone who would like to try taiko at a relaxed pace with modified movements. The Silver/Parkinson’s program will promote communication, allow for shared activity, provide emotional support, and encourage physical activity.
