North Star Montessori offers a summer program that includes arts and crafts. The school provides beautiful indoor environments with extensions to the natural environment for children in its programs.
• Ages: 6 weeks–6 years old
North Star Montessori was founded in 2001. It was started by teachers and parents interested in providing an authentic Montessori environment for children in Bartholomew County and surrounding areas. North Star Montessori is a not for profit, 501(c)3 corporation guided by a Board of Trustees. NSM is focused on providing quality educational experiences based on the teachings of Dr. Maria Montessori and best practices of education to children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. The summer program incorporates arts and crafts, and summer spots for non-students are limited. North Star Montessori has infant, toddler, and kindergarten programs that are culture-rich, locally rooted, globally aware, environmentally responsible, and inclusive. The school nurtures students, staff, teachers, and parents physically, intellectually, emotionally, and socially, and students will typically remain at North Star Montessori School from early childhood through Kindergarten.
