About
Soccer Shots is a soccer program where children participate in soccer activities using an expert-designed, age-appropriate curriculum. Sessions take place in a setting called Soccer Island, and activities include dribbling, passing, shooting, and learning basic rules of the game through songs, fun games, and team competitions.
• Ages: 18 months–8 years old
Soccer Shots offers three program types: MINI for toddlers, CLASSIC for preschoolers, and PREMIER for school-aged children. MINI introduces children to using their feet, dribbling, and basic rules of soccer through songs, fun games, and positive reinforcement. CLASSIC uses creative and imaginative games to focus on dribbling, passing, and shooting, and each session highlights a character trait such as respect, teamwork, or appreciation. PREMIER builds on soccer skills for school-aged children and introduces competitive play with fun games and team competitions. The curriculum aligns with early childhood education standards and is created under the guidance of childhood education specialists, professional soccer players, and experienced and licensed soccer coaches.
Every Soccer Shots coach must complete a comprehensive training program to receive certification, and all coaches are trained in developmentally appropriate techniques. Coaches are routinely evaluated and participate in ongoing training, and the coach selection process evaluates both soccer coaching ability and the ability to engage and inspire children. Soccer Shots provides an expert-designed curriculum taught by fully trained coaches in an environment referred to as Soccer Island and proactively communicates cancellations due to weather or other circumstances.
Soccer Shots states its mission as aiming to positively impact children’s lives as the premier children’s soccer experience. Other parents describe the coaches and program as amazing and organized, note growth in their children over months in the program, and mention looking forward to additional seasons after positive experiences with instructors.
