Soccer Shots is a children’s soccer program where kids play soccer, learn age-appropriate soccer skills, and practice fundamental soccer principles such as using their feet, dribbling, and the basic rules of the game. Sessions include basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting, along with fun games, competitive play, and team competitions.
• Ages: 18 months–8 years old
Soccer Shots states that its mission as the premier Children’s Soccer Experience is to positively impact children’s lives. The program uses an age-appropriate, expert-designed curriculum that is developmentally appropriate and aligns with early childhood education standards. Each session highlights positive character traits such as respect, teamwork, and appreciation. The curriculum was created under the guidance of childhood education specialists, professional soccer players, and experienced and licensed soccer coaches.
Every Soccer Shots coach must complete a comprehensive training program to receive certification. All coaches are trained in the use of developmentally appropriate techniques, are routinely evaluated, and undergo ongoing training.
Soccer Shots was formed in 1997. In 2005, it began franchising and opened its first four franchises in Ohio, Delaware, Florida, and Pennsylvania. The founding partners are Jeremy Sorzano and Jason Webb, and in May of 2009, Justin Bredeman became the third Soccer Shots partner. From its beginnings, Soccer Shots has grown to over 300 territories across 43 states and 2 Canadian provinces, with over 560,000 enrollments in Soccer Shots programming in 2023. Soccer Shots Franchising, LLC is based in central Pennsylvania, just east of Harrisburg. Soccer Shots is offered in over 43 states and two provinces across the U.S. and Canada and is consistently recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine as the #1 Children’s Fitness Franchise in the U.S. Soccer Shots is positioned as a best-in-class children’s soccer program with a focus on character development.
Through partnerships with the U.S. Soccer Foundation, Nike, and other organizations, Soccer Shots aims to impact children and communities across the U.S. and the world.
Parents describe their experiences with Soccer Shots in several ways.
